What effect does Estelle™-35ED have?

Estelle™-35ED contains both an oestrogen and a progestogen like hormone.


When Estelle™-35ED is used in the treatment of PCOS, the effect is one of stabilising hormone levels so that when treatment is stopped after a number of months, the hormone levels should return to normal.


This should then lead to a normal menstrual cycle. While on treatment the anti-androgenic effect of the cyproterone acetate should help in reducing the symptoms of PCOS.
